FR. MICHEAL J. WITTE, CSSP- FATHER FOUNDER OF KABAA HIGH SCHOOL

                    A BRIEF SCHOOL HISTORY

Kabaa High school started in 1924 as a primary school under Fr. Michael Witte (1924-1934).

The white priests headed the school up to 1979 when the last priest, Fr. L.J. O’toole (1972 – 1979), handed over the headship to the first African principal – Mr. Kiilu Maingi (1979 – 1983).

Since then, other principals were:

Mr. C.M. Muthuka (1992 – 1995)

Mr. B.M. Muthwii (1987 – 1992)

Mr. M.W.M. Mutua (1992 – 1995)

Mr. B.K. Maundu (1995 – 1999)

Mr. D.M. Matheka (2000 – 2009)

Mr. P.K. Mbaluto (2009)

Mr. Munyao,E.K. (2009 – 2011)

Mr. Mutua, A.K. (2011)

Mr. Muia, G.N (2011 – April 2017) and

Mr. Mwangele –  May 2017 –  to date)

Kabaa High lies on a 120 acres piece of land owned by the Catholic Diocese of Machakos.

The school has produced prominent personalities like – the Late Tom Mboya, Cardinal Otunga, Dr. Joe Wanjuhi, Hon. George Muhoho, Arch.Bishop (Rtd) Ndingi Mwana’a Nzeki, Eng. Joel Kiilu, Eng. Bernard Kyengo and Hon. Victor Munyaka among many prominent citizens of our great nation.
